Management
Someone must be in charge must have a basic understanding of the building process so that they can make informed decisions.
Timing
It usually takes about six months to build a relatively uncomplicated home. It can often take a year or more to complete a complex custom home.
Cash
The strategic way of managing your project is to have financial resources available when they are needed. Payments based on inspection milestones and work completed will ensure that contractors can meet their obligations on your behalf.
Material Production
As soon as blueprints are available the quantities of material selected can be put into production. We will then start to assemble all the various building components in the best timeframe possible.
Permits
Building permits need to be in place before you can start construction. Some land preparation can take place prior to permits, but you need to be aware of the local guidelines that may restrict this work.
Foundations
The construction management objective is to get the foundations in place as soon as blueprints are available and permits have been obtained.
Lock-up
When the building is at the lock-up stage it means that the home is now weatherproof and secure.
Occupancy
Occupancy means that your home is ready for you to live in. Your construction contract is complete when final inspection (final “walk through”) has taken place.
